About PhonePe Gift Card
A PhonePe gift card is credit you load straight into a PhonePe account. Buy one here, get the code by email, and add it to the app in about a minute. Once redeemed, the balance sits in the account and works with any eligible PhonePe merchant or service. You do not have to spend it in one go. Whatever is left stays on the card until it expires.
Two things are worth knowing before you buy. You cannot pay using an existing PhonePe wallet or gift card balance, so you will need another payment method. And there is a cap of ₹50,000 of gift cards per person per month, counted across every card you buy, not per card.
Codes are valid for one year from the day they are issued, and PhonePe does not extend that.
How to redeem
- Download and open the PhonePe app on your device
- Log in to your PhonePe account
- Navigate to the gift card redemption section
- Enter your unique gift card code when prompted
- The gift card amount will be added to your PhonePe account
- You can now use this balance to make payments across eligible PhonePe merchants and services
- In case of transactions cancelled after using the gift cards, the amount will be reversed to the Gift Card used at the time of the transaction
- If the Gift Card validity has expired, no refund will be processed for the amount paid by the Gift Card

Frequently asked questions
How long is a PhonePe gift card valid?
One year from the date it is issued, and PhonePe does not extend validity. Any balance you have not spent stays usable right up to that date, so there is no need to redeem it all at once.
Can I pay with my PhonePe wallet balance?
No. PhonePe does not allow e-gift cards to be bought using wallet balance or an existing gift card balance. Use another payment method at checkout instead.
How do I buy and redeem a PhonePe gift card?
Pick a denomination above and pay, and the code reaches you straight away. To redeem it, open the PhonePe app, sign in, go to the gift card section and enter the code. The amount lands in your PhonePe balance immediately.
Is there a limit on how many PhonePe gift cards I can buy?
Yes. One person can use up to ₹50,000 worth of PhonePe gift cards in a month. The cap applies per user across every card you buy, not to each card on its own.
Things to note
- Validity: Valid for 1 year from the date of issue; validity of gift cards cannot be extended
- Cancellation Policy: PhonePe Gift Card once bought cannot be cancelled
- Purchase Restrictions: PhonePe wallet balance or existing Gift Card balance cannot be used to purchase e-gift cards
- Balance Handling: Any balance amount left on the used gift card can be reused within the validity period
- Security: You are solely responsible for the safety and security of the e-gift cards. PhonePe is not responsible if the gift card details are lost, stolen or used without permission
- Replacement Policy: The gift cards cannot be replaced, refunded, revalidated or exchanged for cash
- Usage Authorization: PhonePe reserves the right to deny accepting any gift card if it suspects that there is duplicity of gift cards
- Misuse Consequences: Any misuse of this gift card will result in cancellation of the gift card
- User Limitation: This is for individual use only. An individual user cannot utilize more than 50,000 worth of Gift cards in a month
- Payment Option: PhonePe Giftcards can be used as payment option across all Eligible PhonePe merchants and services
- Jurisdiction: Disputes are subject to Bangalore jurisdiction
