Orchid Rewards is the loyalty programme of The Orchid Hotels & Resorts, run by Kamat Hotels (India) Ltd. If the name is new to you, the thing worth knowing is that The Orchid was Asia's first five-star Ecotel, built around environmental design at a time when almost nobody in Indian hospitality was talking about it.
The group spans 30+ hotels and resorts across 20+ destinations in India, under four brands:

- Lotus Eco Beach Resorts, the beach side of the group
- Fort JadhavGADH & Heritage Resorts, for the heritage-property stays
So this isn't a single-city programme. It covers city hotels, beach resorts, and hill and heritage properties, which is a reasonable spread for the kind of domestic trip most of us actually take.
What You Can Do With Your Petals
Petals are the currency of Orchid Rewards, and once your Mag Miles land there you can put them toward three things: free nights at Orchid properties, room upgrades on a stay you're already booked on, and fine dining and in-hotel experiences at participating hotels.
The Petal cost of a night varies by property and by date, so you'll see the exact number when you go to redeem inside your Orchid Rewards account. Worth checking the property you actually want before you move anything across, because the transfer is one-way and Petals can't come back.
How to Transfer
The whole thing lives inside the app.
Step 1: Get the Magnify app and create your account.
Step 2: Earn Mag Miles by buying gift cards from 500+ brands on the app, with up to 20% back in Mag Miles on every purchase. Amazon, Swiggy, Uber, Myntra, the usual suspects. UPI works, and you don't need a premium credit card for any of it.
Step 3: Tap Orchid Rewards on the Magnify home screen to start the transfer.
Step 4: Convert at 1:2 and watch 100 Mag Miles turn into 200 Petals.
Step 5: Book your night, upgrade, or meal through Orchid Rewards.
Worth Knowing Before You Transfer
Petals are credited to your linked Orchid Rewards account within one working day of the transfer being confirmed on Magnify, so this isn't instant, but it's quick enough that you're not planning a week ahead.
The transfer is one-way. Once Mag Miles become Petals, they stay Petals, and there's no route back into your Mag Miles balance or onward into an airline programme. That's the normal shape of a hotel transfer, but it's worth saying plainly: transfer when you know roughly what you're booking, not speculatively.
Where This Sits With the Rest of Your Mag Miles
Orchid opened the door, and it didn't stay the only one for long. ITC Hotels joined as our second hotel partner soon after, so Club ITC Green Points are now an option too.
