HSBC Accor Transfer Bonus: Up to 50% Extra Points, But Register by 7 August
HSBC is giving up to 50% bonus ALL Accor points on transfers this week. Three hoops, three date windows, and caps that most people will get wrong. Card-by-card breakdown.
HSBC is giving up to 50% bonus points when you move HSBC Reward Points across to Accor. The offer runs from 5 to 14 August 2026, but the date that actually matters is 7 August. That's when registration closes. Miss that one WhatsApp message and nothing else you do this week counts for anything.
It's also one of the more convoluted offers an Indian bank has run this year. Three separate things have to happen, in order, across three different date windows. Get any one of them wrong and the bonus doesn't come.
The three deadlines
| Step | What you do | Window |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Register | WhatsApp HSBCALL to 86558 58111 | 5 to 7 August |
| 2. Spend | ₹1,00,000 on the card | 5 to 12 August |
| 3. Transfer | Move points to Accor via the HSBC app | 13 to 14 August only |
Bonus points land in your Accor account within 30 days, and no later than 16 September 2026. Your base points transfer instantly, so don't panic when the bonus isn't there on the 15th.
Why an Accor bonus is a bigger deal than it looks
Accor is the group behind Novotel, ibis, Sofitel, Fairmont and Raffles. Its loyalty currency, ALL Reward Points, has one property that almost no airline programme has: a fixed, published exchange rate. 2,000 ALL points are worth €40 off any Accor stay, anywhere, at any property. There's no award chart to decode and no dynamic pricing to fight. With the euro around ₹110, that puts one ALL point at roughly ₹2.20, and it stays there whether you're booking an ibis in Pune or a Fairmont in Jaipur.
That predictability is exactly why the Indian points community used Accor as its yardstick for years. It's also why losing it hurt. Axis Bank dropped Accor from its transfer partner list in April 2026, and it hasn't come back.
Which leaves HSBC in an unusually strong position. Of the Indian banks that still transfer to Accor, HSBC is the only one doing it at 1:1.
| Bank programme | Ratio to Accor ALL |
|---|---|
| HSBC Rewards (Premier, TravelOne, Privé) | 1:1 |
| HDFC Rewards (Infinia, Diners Club Black, Regalia Gold) | 2:1 |
| SBI Travel Credits (SBI Miles) | 2:1 |
| Kotak Air Miles (Air+) | 2:1 |
| HSBC Visa Platinum | 2:1 |
| Axis eDGE Rewards and Edge Miles | Discontinued |
So HSBC cardholders were already getting twice the Accor points per rupee of everyone else. This week they're getting 25% to 50% on top of that.
Ratios do move, and they move without much notice. The Magnify app tracks every card that transfers to Accor with its current ratio, and flags active transfer bonuses as they go live, so you're not working off a blog post from four months ago.
How much bonus you actually get
Three cards qualify: Privé, Premier and TravelOne. The bonus percentage depends on which one you hold, and for Premier it also depends on how much money you keep with the bank.
| Card | Bonus | Max bonus points | Transfer this much to max it |
|---|---|---|---|
| HSBC Privé | 50% | 1,00,000 ALL | 2,00,000 HSBC RP |
| HSBC Premier (eligible TRB) | 50% | 50,000 ALL | 1,00,000 HSBC RP |
| HSBC Premier (everyone else) | 25% | 15,000 ALL | 60,000 HSBC RP |
| HSBC TravelOne | 25% | 10,000 ALL | 40,000 HSBC RP |
"Eligible TRB" means a Total Relationship Balance of ₹40 lakh if your HSBC Premier relationship started before January 2026, or ₹50 lakh if it started after. If you're not sure which side of that line you fall on, assume 25% and treat the extra as a bonus.
The minimum transfer is 15,000 HSBC Reward Points in a single transaction, done through the HSBC India mobile banking app. Splitting it into smaller chunks won't work.
The cap is the part people will get wrong
That fourth column is the number to pay attention to. The bonus is capped in absolute points, not as a percentage of whatever you move. A TravelOne holder who transfers 40,000 points gets the full 10,000 bonus. A TravelOne holder who transfers 90,000 points gets the same 10,000 bonus, and the other 50,000 points earn nothing extra at all.
Transfers to Accor are irreversible, and they have to go to the primary cardholder's own Accor account. So work out your row in that table before you tap anything.
What the bonus is worth
Using Accor's published rate of 2,000 points to €40, and the euro at about ₹110:
| Card | Transfer | You end up with | Worth about |
|---|---|---|---|
| Privé | 2,00,000 RP | 3,00,000 ALL | €6,000 (₹6.6 lakh) |
| Premier (eligible TRB) | 1,00,000 RP | 1,50,000 ALL | €3,000 (₹3.3 lakh) |
| Premier (others) | 60,000 RP | 75,000 ALL | €1,500 (₹1.65 lakh) |
| TravelOne | 40,000 RP | 50,000 ALL | €1,000 (₹1.1 lakh) |
Put differently, the bonus pushes each HSBC Reward Point from about ₹2.20 of Accor hotel credit to ₹3.30 on the 50% tiers, or ₹2.75 on the 25% tiers. For comparison, HSBC's own Apple Store redemption values a point at ₹1. This is one of the better uses of an HSBC point even without a bonus attached, which is the whole reason the offer is worth the paperwork.
One thing to know about spending them: above the first 1,000 points, Accor redeems in blocks of 2,000. Leftover points below a block sit there until you top up.
The ₹1 lakh spend is harder than it sounds
This is where most people will fall over, and it's the part the other coverage of this offer has skipped.
You need ₹1,00,000 of qualifying spend between 5 and 12 August. That's eight days. Two things don't count towards it: anything in your card's excluded categories, and anything booked through HSBC's Travel with Points portal, which Hopper runs.
How much of a problem that is depends entirely on which card you hold, because the exclusion lists are wildly different.
HSBC Premier excludes almost nothing. Fuel is the only category that earns no points, so utilities, insurance premiums, education fees and the rest all count. Hitting ₹1 lakh in eight days with a Premier is straightforward if you've got a rent payment or an insurance premium due.
HSBC TravelOne is the opposite. Its exclusion list covers fuel, utilities, gold and jewellery, insurance, education, government and tax payments, e-wallet loads, money transfers, rent and cash advances. Those are precisely the big-ticket categories you'd reach for to clear ₹1 lakh in a hurry. On a TravelOne, that lakh has to be ordinary retail shopping, and eight days of ordinary shopping adding up to ₹1 lakh is a stretch for most people.
Which produces an awkward result. The card with the smallest bonus, capped at 10,000 points, is also the card with the hardest spend requirement. Check your own card's excluded MCC list before you register, not after.
Should you do it?
If you already have HSBC points sitting idle and you were going to spend that ₹1 lakh anyway, this is easy. Register, spend as normal, transfer on the 13th or 14th, and you've turned a routine month into ₹1 lakh or more of hotel credit depending on your card.
If you'd have to manufacture the spend to qualify, don't. You'd be pushing ₹1 lakh through a card in eight days to chase 10,000 or 15,000 bonus points, which on the 25% tiers is €200 to €300. There are better things to do with that spend, including milestone benefits on cards you already hold.
And if you don't hold one of the three eligible cards, there's nothing to do here. There's no way to get in before the 7th.
If you're after hotel points without a premium card
Accor isn't a Mag Miles partner, and this offer needs an HSBC credit card you can't get in the next 24 hours. But hotel points aren't only reachable through credit cards. Mag Miles convert to Club ITC Green Points and Orchid Rewards, both earned on everyday gift card spending through the Magnify app, no credit card needed. Club ITC is running a 40% transfer bonus of its own this month, and it has none of the registration and spend hoops this one does.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I still register for the HSBC Accor bonus after 7 August?
No. Registration is only open from 5 to 7 August 2026. You must WhatsApp HSBCALL to 86558 58111 within that window. If you register late, you get no bonus regardless of how much you spend or transfer.
Which HSBC cards are eligible for the Accor transfer bonus?
Three cards qualify: HSBC Privé at 50% bonus capped at 1,00,000 ALL points, HSBC Premier at 50% capped at 50,000 points if you meet the Total Relationship Balance threshold or 25% capped at 15,000 points otherwise, and HSBC TravelOne at 25% capped at 10,000 points. The HSBC Visa Platinum is not part of this offer.
What counts towards the ₹1 lakh spend requirement?
Ordinary retail spending between 5 and 12 August 2026. Your card's excluded categories don't count, and neither does anything booked through HSBC's Travel with Points portal run by Hopper. The exclusion lists differ sharply by card: HSBC Premier only excludes fuel, while HSBC TravelOne also excludes utilities, insurance, education, rent, gold and jewellery, government and tax payments, e-wallet loads and money transfers.
What is the HSBC to Accor transfer ratio?
1:1. 100 HSBC Reward Points become 100 ALL Accor Reward Points, before any bonus. That makes HSBC the only Indian bank still transferring to Accor at 1:1. HDFC, SBI and Kotak all transfer at 2:1, and Axis Bank discontinued its Accor transfers in April 2026.
What happens if I transfer more points than the bonus cap allows?
The excess earns no bonus. The cap is an absolute number of points, not a percentage. A TravelOne holder transferring 40,000 points gets the full 10,000 bonus, and one transferring 90,000 points gets the same 10,000. Transfers are irreversible, so work out your number before you confirm.
When do the bonus Accor points arrive?
Within 30 days of the transfer, and no later than 16 September 2026. Your base points transfer instantly, so only the bonus portion is delayed.
How much is an Accor ALL point worth?
Accor uses a fixed rate of 2,000 ALL Reward Points to €40 off any stay, which works out to about ₹2.20 per point with the euro near ₹110. Unlike airline miles, the value doesn't change by property or date. Above the first 1,000 points, you redeem in blocks of 2,000.
