SAS EuroBonus 80% Transfer Bonus: Japan in Business Class for 28,000 Mag Miles
Until 31 August, Mag Miles transfer to SAS EuroBonus with an 80% bonus. 100 becomes 180. That puts a Korean Air business class return to Japan within reach of about 28,000 Mag Miles.
A few days ago I booked four business class tickets to Japan. Round trip, in a lie-flat seat, with taxes so low I had to check the screen twice. It's the redemption I'd been circling for years, and it went through on SAS EuroBonus points.
Right now, until 31 August, Mag Miles transfer to SAS EuroBonus with an 80% bonus. So 100 Mag Miles becomes 180 EuroBonus points, and 10,000 becomes 18,000. That's the best rate Mag Miles have ever converted at.
Which is why that Japan booking is worth talking about rather than saving for later. At the bonused rate, the trip I took works out to roughly 56,000 Mag Miles. If you're flying out of Delhi, the Korean Air version of it lands closer to 28,000.
What the 80% Actually Buys You
The bonus is on the points you receive, not the miles you hand over. You still spend 10,000 Mag Miles, you just get 18,000 EuroBonus points for them. Run that against the redemptions we've written about before and the numbers get strange in a good way.

The Korean Air one is the line that should stop you. A business class return from Delhi to Tokyo, on an airline with genuinely low surcharges, for fewer Mag Miles than most people spend on a domestic economy ticket in points. That's the redemption I keep coming back to, and the one I'd point a first-timer at.
Why EuroBonus, When SAS Barely Flies Here
The obvious question is why a Scandinavian airline's programme matters to someone flying out of India. The answer is that you're almost never flying SAS on these points. You're flying SkyTeam.
EuroBonus sits inside SkyTeam, so those points book Korean Air, Vietnam Airlines, Air France, KLM, Virgin Atlantic, Delta and the rest of the alliance. SAS joined SkyTeam in 2024, and the programme has quietly become one of the better ways to fly business class out of India, largely because of how it prices partner awards and how light the surcharges are on certain carriers.
There's a second reason, and I'll admit to some pride in it. No Indian credit card transfers to EuroBonus. Magnify was the first in India to make EuroBonus earnable without boarding a flight, and getting there took a lot of follow-ups with a programme that didn't have the tech support to take on partners like us at the time. The Transfer Is Instant
This is the part that makes the SAS bonus easier to act on than most. Mag Miles land in your EuroBonus account right away. Not one working day, not seven. You transfer, and the points are there.
That matters more than it sounds. Award seats don't wait, so the usual routine is finding availability and then sweating out a transfer window while somebody else books the seat. Here you can hold the availability, transfer, and ticket it in one sitting.
How to Do It

Step 2: Sign up for SAS EuroBonus if you aren't a member. It's free on the SAS website or app.
Step 3: Link your EuroBonus membership number in Magnify. Check it twice, because miles sent to a wrong number can't be recovered.
Step 4: Transfer. You'll see the bonused total on screen before you confirm.
Step 5: Book your award on the SAS site.
The Fine Print Worth Knowing
- Runs until 31 August 2026. The bonus is applied at the point of transfer, so it's the transfer date that counts.
- No cap. There's no maximum on the bonus or on how many transfers you make.
- Minimums. Your first ever transfer needs 100 Mag Miles. After that it's 10, and if you've already transferred to any Magnify partner before, you're straight to the 10 minimum even on a new one.
- Free. No transfer fee.
- One-way. EuroBonus points can't come back to Mag Miles, so transfer against a plan rather than on spec.
- Check your membership number. Points sent to an incorrect EuroBonus number can't be recovered by Magnify.
Worth saying plainly: the bonus is ours, not SAS's. It's funded by Magnify and applied on our side when you transfer, so there's nothing to claim, register for, or chase with SAS.
Before You Transfer
Two things worth doing first. Look up the award you actually want on the SAS site so you know your target number, then transfer that amount rather than a round figure. And if you hold status with Air India, British Airways, Emirates, Qatar, Turkish or United, check whether you can status match into EuroBonus before you fly, since Gold gets you SkyTeam lounge access.
