Singapore Airlines Birthday Bonus: Up to 2,000 Free KrisFlyer Miles

Singapore Airlines gives KrisFlyer members up to 2,000 bonus miles just for flying around their birthday. Here's how it works.

Singapore Airlines Birthday Bonus: Up to 2,000 Free KrisFlyer Miles

Singapore Airlines gives you free miles just for having a birthday.

If you're a KrisFlyer member and you fly Singapore Airlines or Scoot around your birthday, you get bonus miles automatically. There's no registration required and nothing to claim manually.

What you get

The bonus depends on your membership tier:

  • KrisFlyer members: 1,000 bonus miles
  • KrisFlyer Elite Silver/Gold: 1,500 miles
  • PPS Club: 2,000 miles

All you need to do is take one paid flight with Singapore Airlines or Scoot. If you don't have KrisFlyer status yet, your Marriott status might help you get there.

The timing is generous

You get a 3-month window starting from your birthday month.

So if your birthday is in March, you can fly anytime from March 1st through May 31st and still get the bonus. Most birthday promotions only give you 30 days, so this is unusually flexible.

The requirements

You need at least one flight segment on Singapore Airlines or Scoot, and the ticket must be fully paid in cash. Award tickets, partial miles payments, and voucher bookings don't qualify. Codeshare flights operated by other airlines are also excluded.

If you're buying a regular ticket and flying SQ or Scoot metal, you're covered.

How the miles credit

You don't need to do anything after your flight. The bonus credits automatically within 4 weeks.

Just make sure your KrisFlyer profile has your correct date of birth and that your frequent flyer number is attached to your booking when you check in.

Why this matters

1,000 to 2,000 miles might not sound like much on its own, but these are free miles on top of what you'd earn anyway from the flight. If you're already planning to fly Singapore Airlines, timing it around your birthday costs you nothing extra.

Over a few years, these bonuses add up.
