Mag Miles Now Transfer to SAS EuroBonus

Mag Miles now convert to SAS EuroBonus at a flat 1:1 ratio. No Indian credit card transfers to EuroBonus, making Magnify the only way to earn these points without flying. SkyTeam access, Copenhagen-Mumbai launching June 2026, and Scandinavia on the map.

Mag Miles now transfer to SAS EuroBonus at a flat 1:1 ratio. This is our fourth airline transfer partner (after Vietnam Airlines LotusSmiles, Air India Maharaja Club, and Ethiopian Airlines ShebaMiles), and it's live in the app right now.

SAS is Scandinavian Airlines. Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo. They're the main carrier for the Nordics, and since September 2024, they're a full SkyTeam member. But the reason this partnership matters for Indians specifically is simple: no Indian credit card program transfers to EuroBonus. Magnify is the only way to earn these points without flying SAS.

SkyTeam, again

We already have SkyTeam access through LotusSmiles. So why add another SkyTeam program? Because different programs price the same flights differently. EuroBonus has its own award chart, its own sweet spots, and its own partner booking rules. Having two SkyTeam currencies gives you options.

EuroBonus lets you book on all 19 SkyTeam carriers:

  • Aerolíneas Argentinas (Argentina)
  • Aeroméxico (Mexico)
  • Air Europa (Spain)
  • Air France (France)
  • China Airlines (Taiwan)
  • Delta Air Lines (United States)
  • Garuda Indonesia (Indonesia)
  • ITA Airways (Italy)
  • Kenya Airways (Kenya)
  • KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (Netherlands)
  • Korean Air (South Korea)
  • Middle East Airlines (Lebanon)
  • Saudia (Saudi Arabia)
  • SAS Scandinavian Airlines (Sweden/Denmark/Norway)
  • TAROM (Romania)
  • Vietnam Airlines (Vietnam)
  • Virgin Atlantic (United Kingdom)
  • XiamenAir (China)

You can book SkyTeam partner flights online through the SAS website. There's a EUR 50 admin fee per traveler for partner awards, which is worth knowing upfront.

EuroBonus also has a few non-SkyTeam partners, including Etihad Airways and Widerøe (a Norwegian regional carrier). That Etihad connection is interesting since it opens up Abu Dhabi hub routes that aren't part of SkyTeam.

SAS is coming to India

This is the part that makes the timing feel right. SAS is launching a direct Copenhagen to Mumbai route on June 2, 2026. Five times a week on an Airbus A330. This is SAS returning to India after 17 years.

Copenhagen works well as a connecting hub. From there, SAS flies across Scandinavia (Stockholm, Oslo, Bergen, Gothenburg, Helsinki), Northern Europe (London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Zurich), and across the Atlantic to New York, Chicago, Boston, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington DC, and Toronto.

So a Mumbai to Copenhagen to New York routing, or Mumbai to Copenhagen to Stockholm, all on SAS metal. That's where EuroBonus points on SAS-operated flights can give you the best value compared to booking the same route through other programs.

The only way to earn EuroBonus in India

This is what makes this partnership different from the others. With Maharaja Club, several Indian credit cards already transfer to the same program. With ShebaMiles, Axis eDGE transfers directly. But for EuroBonus? No Indian credit card program has a transfer partnership with SAS.

Mag Miles on the Magnify app are the only way for someone in India to earn EuroBonus points without actually flying SAS or its partners. Buy gift cards on Magnify, earn Mag Miles, transfer to EuroBonus. UPI works, no premium credit card needed.

And if you do have a rewards credit card, the double dip still applies. Buy on Magnify with your Infinia or Atlas, and you've earned Mag Miles from Magnify plus reward points from your card. Same purchase, both earn. Your card rewards go wherever your card transfers to, and your Mag Miles go to EuroBonus. Two separate earning paths from one purchase.

Getting started

Sign up for a free EuroBonus account on the SAS website: Sign up for EuroBonus

EuroBonus points are valid for about 4 to 5 years from when they're credited. The exact expiry aligns with your membership anniversary date. Earning or redeeming activity within that window keeps your points safe. Compared to LotusSmiles (3 years, fixed per batch) or Maharaja Club (24 months of inactivity), EuroBonus gives you the longest runway.

Transfers from Mag Miles are instant. Your EuroBonus points show up in your SAS account right away.
